Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

  1. Ensure that the manuscript fits the journal's focus and scope and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  2. Use the official JLN article template and follow its structure, formatting, table, figure, citation, and reference instructions.
  3. Provide an informative title, author names and affiliations, corresponding-author details, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements or funding information when applicable, conflict-of-interest disclosure, and references.
  4. Remove author-identifying information from the review file when required for double-anonymous review, while entering complete contributor metadata in OJS.
  5. Report research methods and results transparently. Provide ethics approval, consent, permissions, funding, data availability, and competing-interest information when applicable.
  6. Check every in-text citation against the reference list and obtain permission for third-party material.
  7. Upload an editable manuscript file and any supplementary files through the official online submission system.

Submissions that do not satisfy basic requirements may be returned for correction before peer review.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The manuscript follows the JLN Author Guidelines and official article template.
  • The submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • All authors, affiliations, and contributor information are complete and approved.
  • References are complete; tables and figures are numbered and labelled.
  • Required ethics approval, consent, permissions, funding, competing-interest, and data-availability information is provided when applicable.
  • The review file has been prepared for double-anonymous review where required.

Names, email addresses, affiliations, identifiers, and other personal information entered in this journal system are used only for legitimate journal operations, including registration, submission, peer review, editorial communication, publication, reporting, and platform security.

Personal data is accessible only to authorized users and service providers as required for those purposes. JLN does not sell user data. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect the integrity and security of the journal, or to investigate publication-ethics concerns through a fair process.

Published author names, affiliations, identifiers, and article metadata form part of the scholarly record and may be distributed through indexing, preservation, and metadata services. Users may request correction of inaccurate account information through the journal's official contact page, subject to legal, security, and scholarly-record obligations.

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security. This statement may be updated when journal practices, technology, or applicable requirements change.
